Minneapolis, MN – (July 8, 2019): EXB Solutions, Inc. is excited to announce our participation in NASA’s Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract awarded earlier in June. EXB is a small business partner with prime contractor, Peraton, one of NASA’s key mission partners.
EXB will provide software engineering services in support of Peraton’s 5-year, $1.8 billion award. SENSE is a follow-on to the Space Communications Network Services contract led by Peraton since 2011 in support of the Exploration and Space Communications projects division at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). As a subcontractor, EXB has supported multiple NASA programs over the last decade including Orion Core Flight Software, the Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment program and a test automation effort with the GSFC. Our engineers have worked on mission critical technologies like satellite communications, human space vehicle control, navigation and flight management, guidance and flight control, and medical device systems.
Chris Schwartzbauer, CEO of EXB Solutions, said, “We are thrilled to be a part of Peraton’s winning team. This stellar win further reaffirms Peraton’s mission-critical capabilities and expands our footprint into space systems. We look forward to working on new projects and continued success in mission-critical space programs where EXB can leverage its three decades worth of expertise. This is a further testament to the tremendous engineering team we have here at EXB. Our engineers continue to build world-class solutions that enable the most advanced systems for avionics, space and medical devices.”
“Peraton is deeply committed to providing outstanding support to NASA missions and recognizes the niche capabilities of essential mission partners like EXB whose contributions are vital to mission success,” said Ronna Kirchoff, Vice President, Civil Space programs. With this new contract, Peraton will continue to deliver advanced communications and tracking and data relay services with a focus on the evolution of NASA’s architectural vision for enhanced space communications and navigation services.
