Job: Digital Hardware Design Engineer
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

This role is onsite in Cedar Rapids. All Applicants must be US Citizen or be a Green Card Holder
Have your career take flight with us! As our Digital Hardware Design Engineer team member, you will:
- Support Avionics equipment experienced in designing and integrating high performance digital designs (processors, peripherals, DSP, I/O, etc).
- Serve as factory support of departmental hardware product lines.
- Assist in determining root cause of intermittent productions failures, dealing with obsolescence issues, board re-layouts, updating designs, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5-10 years of experience in Avionics or related experience
- Knowledge of high-density circuit board layout, design for EMI control, manufacturability, testability and thermal control
- Knowledge of graphics engines, DSPs, Ethernet, PCI, ARINC 429, VHDL, flex cable design, DDR technology and boundary scan.
- Knowledge of engineering development processes, DO-160/MIL Standards, manufacturing methods, and product life cycles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Product troubleshooting skills, production build and test (acceptance testing, environmental stress screening, etc)
- Technical writing skills
- Configuration control/peer review process experience
